Much of our travels through France are taken by first class rail, while the privately chartered Transcantábrico Gran Lujo train sees us winding our way across the Basque country of Northern Spain. Sit back in comfort as majestic châteaux and sun-drenched vineyards roll by. Enjoy exemplary service and the finest refreshments.
AN ADVENTURE IN GASTRONOMY
Savour fine-dining experiences as we wind through famous gastronomic regions, including Champagne, Bordeaux, and San Sebastian. Dine at Michelin-starred restaurants, 114 Faubourg in Paris and Zelai Txiki in San Sebastian. While in Madrid, we learn the secrets of cooking a traditional paella from a master Spanish chef.

A selection of tailored experiences allows us to lose ourselves in the art of viniculture in these renowned wine regions. Enjoy full days in the wine capitals of Champagne and Bordeaux, wandering through verdant vineyards on ancient terroir and, in Madrid, learn from the best while taking part in a Spanish wine masterclass.

Greet the morning from atop Paris’ glorious Arc de Triomphe, a rare privilege not generally afforded to the public. The sweeping views unveil a whole new vista of this glorious city. Take in the magnificent scene while enjoying breakfast.
A TASTE OF SPAIN
Our visit to Madrid includes a carefully curated tour of small tapas bars where we enjoy dishes such as albondigas, tortilla and melt-in-the-mouth jamon paired with stunning Spanish wine. At night, we visit the eminent Tablao Palacio De Los Leones for dinner and their renowned Flamenco show.

Our address in Paris is the elegant Le Bristol, an icon steps away from the Avenue des Champs-Élysées. Set amidst verdant gardens, our Superior or Deluxe rooms feature Louis XV and Louis XVI furniture and marble bathrooms. There’s also a rooftop pool.
CHATEAU HOTEL GRAND BARRAIL, SAINT EMILION
The Château Hotel Grand Barrail provides an idyllic setting during our three-night stay. Deluxe Rooms include views onto either the château, its gardens, or the surrounding vineyards. While a balcony or terrace affords an even closer look. The contemporary restaurant serves innovative cuisine and, naturally, fine wine.

TRANSCANTABRICO GRAN LUJO
Our privately chartered train, Transcantábrico Gran Lujo takes us across beautiful northern Spain. Our Deluxe Suites include large windows to contemplate the passing scenery, as well as comfortable double beds at 1.50m x 2m, and ensuites that double as steam saunas. The train’s lounge cars offer comfortable seating, while fine dining takes place in the restaurant.

We’ll stay in Supreme Rooms at this grand hotel in the centre of Madrid, just a short stroll from the Palacio Real Del Madrid and the bustling Puerte Del Sol. This former 19th Century palace has been remodelled into an opulent hotel inspired by the works of Velázquez, the famous Spanish artist.
