Gordon’s favourite destination is Laos, for its people, food and remote landscapes. His most memorable moment with Captain’s Choice was the helicopter flight around Rio’s ‘Christ the Redeemer’ statue, then landing on Sugarloaf Mountain for a glass of champagne at sunset. While her most memorable Captain’s Choice moment was listening to four pure voices singing hymns within the cave church of Armenia’s Geghard Monastery, during what was a tear-inducing encounter. Jo’s favourite travel quote is “I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list” – Susan Sontag. And with 70 countries successfully traversed, she is well on her way. Hard-pressed to pick a favourite, Jo says that each destination has been a great source of enjoyment for different reasons. Joining the team in 2007, her attention to detail ensures guests get the most from their journey. One of her standout moments on tour was witnessing aurora borealis in Inari, within Finnish Lapland. With more than 40 years in the travel industry, Margie has an abundance of experience in air travel, cruising, and exploring by land. She considers herself fortunate to have explored some of the world’s most incredible destinations during this time. Travelling to Africa with Captain’s Choice was certainly a highlight, especially spending time with the gorillas of Rwanda. When not working, Margie loves skiing, spending time with her grandchildren, and sharing her passion for adventure.

Dee’s motivation for joining Captain’s Choice was the variety of destinations and experiences on offer. The opportunity to meet so many amazing people over the past 18 years, though, has proven to be even more valuable. Having travelled to more than 90 countries, Dee believes the contrast of local discoveries with world-renowned restaurants and privately chartered transport during a Captain’s Choice journey makes for a refreshing experience. Roger has worked in the aviation and travel industry for more than 40 years. His love of travel began while working with iconic airline Pan Am. Roger has travelled to over 55 countries and also spent time in Kuwait and Qatar during his aviation career. His favourite destinations include Iran, Jordan, Ireland and Poland, while he also spent time in Western Front locations in north-eastern France and Belgium. Greg has worked in the travel industry for 40 years and has visited at least 75 countries. A former Captain with Qantas Airways, he has completed more than 30 flights to Antarctica as a pilot or lecturer, more recently with Antarctica Flights. In addition to his role as a Captain’s Choice Tour Manager, Greg has been an expedition team member and lecturer on Expedition Cruise ships and also works as a Tour Manager aboard a heritage tourist train in NSW.
